Masamichi Yoshikawa

Overview

Yoshikawa san is a highly respected Japanese Ceramic Artist who has been known and exhibited internationally for several decades. His work embraces the historic Samurai and Tea Master Furuta Oribe's ethos of form, expression and balance - Zen in porcelain.

His works are often decorated with seihukuji ( light blue celadon ) and under painted with a cobalt blue sometsuke to give delightfully expressionistic individualism to each piece.

Yoshikawa san has work held in prestigious museums world wide, including the the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
