Lisa Hammond MBE

Overview

Lisa Hammond has been making pots for around forty years, and is regarded as a pioneer of soda and shino firings. Having spent much time in Japan, Lisa has developed a range of individual works which encompass her extensive knowledge of form and decoration using her preferred methods of working.

Lisa has exhibited extensively across the UK and has had several acclaimed shows in Japan. She has taught at both Goldsmiths and Camberwell, set up the 'Adopt a Potter' scheme, been instrumental in the setting up of Clay College, Stoke on Trent, and also works from and runs her own pottery, Maze Hill, located in Greenwich, London which she established n 1994.
