Piece fired in a saggar to preserve the pristine surface quality and encourage gentle crazing of the celadon glaze.  Watanabe san is one of only a handful of potters in Japan using this technique which means only a fraction of the wares normally possible to fire in a kiln actually get fred due to the space take up by the saggars used to protect the works.
