After discovering clay and ceramics at university in Manchester, Hannah moved to Galloway to work as apprentice to Jason Shackleton. Whilst working with Jason she was introduced to the ancient techniques of slip trailing and sgraffito and fell in love with these traditional earthenware pottery skills.

Hannah draws on the rich heritage of Britain's fine tradition of slip ware pottery as a basis for her own work, which she then translates into her own distinctive style. Hannah's work is both charming and functional, an absolute joy both in the hand and on the eye. Not only are her pieces skilfully thrown, but her fluid slip trailing is second to none, with her uplifting and joyful designs a valuable addition to any collection and home.

Highly regarded for championing the preservation of these very old pottery techniques in addition to her perfect execution of them, Hannah's work is collected all over the world and she has exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally. Hannah lives and works in Dumfries and Galloway Scotland with her husband and business partner Doug Fitch.
